Clifton Square began in 1972 when an elegant Victorian era boarding house was transformed into the heart of a new Shopping Village in Wichita's Historic College Hill district. Miss Pearlie's boarding house, occupied from 1925 through the 1960's, is the centerpiece for the square and was built in 1886.
